Sharing my playlist, just because

Hello, my pretties! How are you all? Doing well, I hope!

I… well, I’m alive. Sick as a dog with some weird bug that decided to attach itself to me since Friday, but alive.

And since I’m nearly dead (not really, just dramatic), I decided to take the lazy route and just share my main playlist. This is basically the one playlist I keep playing on the background while I’m working or doing chores. The songs here are some I could listen to for days and not get sick of them. With that in mind, before I put in the somewhat lengthy list, I’d love to invite you all to share your own, or, if you have a blog post in which you have already shared a list of your favorite songs, drop me a link in the comments! See you all on the next post, hopefully not feeling like death next time around!

  1. I’ve got, like, thirty percent of these same songs on my go-to playlist. The other seventy is remarkably different, but shares the theme of eclectic and seemingly random, but I totally get it. Sometimes I need some Madonna and Tiffany, sometimes I need some Struggle Jennings, then some NOFX, then I finish of with some Streetlight Manifesto.

    Thanks for brightening my day!

    1. This is so cool! I love finding people I share at least some musical tastes with! And it’s a lot of fun to just toss a bunch of random songs into a playlist and put it on shuffle! It really helps make a boring day more interesting.

Thank you for commenting, now I’m dying to see what else you have on your playlist! :)

  2. A lot of good music on your list. Most of it I’m aware of and like. So, in order to give some idea of my list(s), let me add: Yanni, Metallica, Van Halen, Mannheim Steamroller, David Arkenstone, Beethoven, Bucket Head, Joe Satriani, Rush, Pink Floyd, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Poison, Cinderella, Iron Maiden, Ramstein, Enya, Enigma, Ice T, Gandalf… I’ll cut this very short here. My “main” playlist on Spotify is nearly a thousand songs. I have a list I call Current Jams that I keep to about 50 songs. I rotate songs in and out of that list sometimes daily.

      1. Thanks. No, I don’t have a specific playlist for gaming. I search for playlists on Spotify sometimes. I do have some “generic” fantasy and sci-fi playlists I use for writing, so I’ll sometimes play those when I game.

  3. I really do not have a ‘play list’ as such. I will take any Elvis, sorry I grew up in luv with him. I can sing any of his, lol. Then I love the country music from the 70’s back. But my ‘go to’ for any reason is Hymns. They keep me calm, (you know those times some other people need slapped), they put me to sleep, they ease my pain. And my vanity is showing here, I sound great singing them as loud as I can.

    1. Hey, nothing wrong with owning up to your strengths! I have a lot of Elvis songs on one of my other playlists. His voice is really soothing! And it’s always good to have songs that prevent us from slapping people, lol Thank you so much for commenting! :)

  4. Coldplay and Shakira make me feel things! You have great taste in music! You’re just missing “Come On Eileen” by Dexy’s Midnight Runners. It’s the ultimate feel good tune.

    1. They totally do make a person feel things! And thanks, I’ll definitely add to my list of things to listen to! Other commenters have provided me with other awesome suggestions too! Looks like the lazy post was a good idea, lol!

  5. Hope you’re recovering well. I’ve heard about one-third of the songs on your list and I like them. I don’t really have a playlist as such. The songs I listen to generally depend on my mood. I will start with a random song and skip those that don’t match my frame of mind. I’ll listen to upbeat songs when I’m bored or tired. Or ballads in moments of melancholy.

  6. Oh no, I’m sorry you’ve been feeling so rotten! I hope you’re doing a bit better soon. Rest up & enjoy your music therapy! That Maroon 5 track, Moves Like Jagger, is so catchy & upbeat. I’m glad to see the RHCPs, Creed, & Guns N Roses on your list, very good choices! xx

  7. Love me some Dancing Queen! I’m not a big fan of musicals, but I think Dancing Queen ranks as one of the best musical songs (and yes I know it’s an ABBA or Queen song, don’t slate me 😭).
