Quarantine update – 06/13/2020

Hello, my pretties! How are you all? Doing well, I hope! I have been doing well enough, surviving the pandemic without catching the virus and just trying to stay sane, you know. And since I have a little more free time, here I am again to post one more update on my isolated life. Without further ado, let us move on to the updates nobody really cares about, shall we?

Work – Nothing’s really changed since my latest post. I’m still working part-time, and enjoying this new work-life balance. I have been considering the lateral move to another department, and wondering if I should grab my boss for a conversation. I might see what I can do, but, for now, I’m focusing on my work and running the company blog, so that will keep me busy enough.

Family – I could say not much has changed here either, but some things had. My brother is still refusing to talk to me, but my niece contacted me asking me to follow her YouTube channel. She’s eight, and I’m not sure how I feel about that, but it’s not my call, sadly. I also got a call today by a dear aunt who had been battling depression for a long time, and she sounds so much better! She seems to have found her will to live again and I couldn’t be happier.

Hobbies – As far as these go, nothing has changed either. I’ve been crocheting a lot and gardening on the side, as the surprise plants are going. I’m hoping weather will get better soon so I can go pull some weeds outside, here’s hoping!

Physical and mental health – My physical health is good, as usual, no signs of the virus here. My mental health has been iffy lately, some not-so-pleasant thoughts popping up in the middle of the night, but I’m doing the best I can to take good care of myself and not let them consume me.

Writing – I have been trying to write a little more fiction. For now, I’m looking for some prompts and working on developing the initial plot lines into an actual story. Should I write them in English, I’ll share them here.

RP Site – The RP site I mentioned some time ago is finally live! We are 6 members total and have 21 characters created. We’re a small group, but we’re active and there are plots and threads already going on. I’m very excited about it!

Well, I guess this is it for now! Not a lot has been happening, but life’s good! What are you all doing? Any news to share? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

See you all on the next post!

  1. Great update on things. Sorry to hear you’re having some negative notions. I get it, though. Life has been not so grand for me lately because I think I’ve been letting some of this craziness in the U.S. get to me along with a couple other things. All I know is that I need to keep waking up in the morning, breathing, and work on the problems as I can. I highly recommend it. It seems to be working.
The garden thing is cool, too. Definitely keep the updates coming there.
The RP site sounds like it’s a lot of fun for you. That’s what it’s all about.
    Good to see a post.

    1. Thanks! I’m doing better today, and doing my best to make sure they don’t drown me in negativity. I’m sorry you’re struggling. It’s not hard to see why, your country is going through such a painful time. I really hope things improve soon! If you need a listening ear, I can try!
I’ll be sure to keep garden updates coming!
And it is fun, it’s just slice of life in a fictional small town and we’re all just throwing ideas at each other. It really is what it’s all about!
You take care, okay? I’m trying not to let too much time pass between posts!

  2. That’s great news about your Aunt feeling better!

I’m trying hard not to let things get to me but man 2020 is taking a toll and hasn’t let up yet. I’m trying to write more myself it’s probably my favorite past time. Good luck with your garden hopefully you can and don’t mind sharing some pics I’m always looking for inspiration!

    1. It sure is, thank you! Hearing from her really brightened up my year! And tell me about it, this year is rough. Here’s hoping things will adjust soon! Writing is great, especially in these times! And thanks, as soon as I have the time to get my garden free of weeds, I’ll take a better picture! <3

    1. Now you have gone and doomed everyone, lol! And a RP site is a site where you (and other people) create characters with their stories, personalities, etc, and create stories along with other people by stepping into that character’s role! It’s a lot of fun! :)

  3. That’s great news for your aunt. And OMG. What kind of videos does your niece want to make for YouTube? I’m guessing at her age it might be about games and arts and craft?

That sounds pretty tough for you that your mental health is going up and down. Have you been able to figure out what’s been the trigger for you?

That’s so great about your RP site! But I have to be honest, I’m sure you’ve spoken about it before but what does RP stand for?

For some odd reason I expected this post to have been made in may, but it’s just over a month ago. I’ve started to go on more walks and tackle my thought processes to alleviate my anxiety and it’s helping! It was a long road to get there, but I’m battling it well now, at least I think so!

    1. My aunt is now acting super needy and messaging in the middle of the night, so I don’t really know what’s up! We’ll see, I guess. My niece was doing some gameplays, but she hasn’t uploaded in a while – hopefully it was just curiosity and she’s decided to do something else now!

I’m pretty sure my trigger is stress, which is not very helpful right now, but I’m trying not to stress myself when I can control it.

RP means roleplay – basically, a form of collaborative writing in which we all create our characters and interact with other peoples’ characters in our shared setting!

I’m glad you’re going on walks and feeling better! Keep on taking good care of yourself! <3
