Where have I been?

Hey, everyone, how are you all? Doing well, I hope! I’m… alive.

I know I haven’t been posting nearly as well as I should, but I’m here. Things have been happening, and I haven’t been able to.

I’ll try to keep this short and also talk a little about how I plan on moving forward.

On the normal side of things, I’ve been working a lot – the company I work for is going through a lot of changes, and we’re all having to learn how to operate new systems, how to give support to new products, all that fun stuff. I’ve been trying to get another blog in Portuguese off the ground as well, though that project has been on hold for a while.

My mental health has been shaky lately, and I’ve been handling some physical health stuff as well – nothing serious, but it requires time and lifestyle changes.

I’m also freshly single in a way I had never expected to happen, and I’m sad, angry and confused, and it’s nobody’s fault, which only makes it worse. I’m not sure I should explain it, as it’s someone else’s private information, but…it was harsh and traumatic. I’m still coming to terms with it.

As for how I plan on moving forward… There’s so much I want to do about the blog. Maybe post some writing prompts, talk about collaborative writing or post a nice picture every now and then. I’m not sure how much energy I’ll have for all of that, but I’ll do my best. I’ve been dropping the ball on reading everyone’s blogs as well, and I plan on working on that too. I’ll just need a little time and patience.

I think that’s all I have to say for today. I should be back soon!

  1. Sorry to hear about the break-up. It sounds like you already have a good handle on it, though. Now you just need the time. So, take the time. Nothing is more important than your well-being.
As to the work thing… All I can say is I hope it’s going as well as possible. I feel your pain when it comes to changes at work. I’ll be rooting for you.
Maybe doing some blog stuff will help keep you from dwelling too much on the other stuff. At the least, it will be a break from it now and then. Besides, it’s good to have see you banging on the keyboard now and then… in Portuguese or English. Hang in there.

    1. Hey! Thanks, it was and is rough, but I have to keep moving and surviving. I’ve been planning a vacation for as soon as I get my second shot, so that should be something to look forward to. Breaking up sucks, but it’s part of life. :/
And it’s going well, but the immature part of me still wants to stomp her feet and refuse to accept change. It’s going to happen either way, oh well.
I sure hope I can keep my mind working on other things, even if it’s just a post here and there. Thank you so much!

      1. Nothing wrong with stomping your feet and being angry. Maybe find a gym and go beat up a punching bag?
Yes, a vacation is good. I took a long weekend this past weekend, and it was a very good thing.

        1. It’s not a terrible idea, actually! I’ve been needing something like that to spend some pent up energy!
And it is, it’ll probably happen late last month, but what’s a month more when we’ve all been more or less stuck for over a year?
