Are you doing NaNoWriMo?

Hello, my pretties! How are you all doing? Well, I hope!

I’m finally back from my vacation. I mean, I came back on the 29th, but my mind might have stayed back in the other state for a couple weeks more! It’s finally back now, I guess!

A bit late, but it’s November! The month when people do the National (well, now international) Novel Writing Month. It’s basically about writing 50.000 words throughout the month. It’s usually done in novels, but a lot of people use it for blogs, poems, and any other kind of writing.

I’m not participating this year, because I don’t really have an idea, but I’d love to know which of my blogger friends will do it this year! If you are, what are you doing your 50k words on?

Share it with me in the comments!

See you!

  1. I have never tried to participate in NaNoWriMo. I have never felt like a stand a chance at making 50K words in a month. I have no excuse. I have never felt driven to try writing that much to achieve a goal. Does that make sense?

      1. Yeah, I guess it takes all three of those ingredients to get that much wordage out.
I have been missing some of those ingredients recently for… reasons… that I am hoping are now being rectified on the creative, Game Night, writing front.

        1. I feel you there! Speaking in a more generic and broad way, I feel that end of year tends to suck people dry when it comes to creative juices! But that may just be me! Whatever is up, I hope it improves and I’m here if you need a listening eye… or a seeing ear! 😀

    1. I envy your discipline, not going to lie! It takes time to get in the habit! Maybe I’ll get there some day! Thank you for the well wishes, right back at you! 🙂

  2. My answer for this year is sort of. I am a Municipal Leader and I have to be there for my people, but this year I will be writing as much as I can, and I know it won’t be much. Housework at my mother’s appartment and donating everything I can from there is the priority.

    1. I’m so sorry again about your mom and the associated struggles! I hope everything runs as smoothly as possible, and I’m sure nobody will judge you for not writing the full word number this year! Much love your way, take care of yourself! ❤

  3. Nope. I’ve done it before, but this year I have a new-ish baby and a chronic illness, so I don’t like my chances. Besides, all my fiction writing projects are in the wrong phase (editing/planning/already most of the way through a draft).

    1. Yeah, I’ve only managed one year as well, and it was because I took time off for other reasons. November is such a crazy month with it being so close to holidays, etc! Take good care of the baby and everything! Hugs and love your way! ❤

  4. I love the excitement of NANOWRIMO, but I don’t participate. I just write because I don’t like word-count goals. If I don’t stress out about a word count, I’m more motivated to write. I set a goal of writing one short story a week this year, and it was fun. Cheers!
